    No, access is via a trail suitable for horseback riding or trekking, and motorcycles are not allowed to prevent erosion on the trail.

    No, but the road between the Río Puelo Footbridge and the Río Correntoso Footbridge has potholes and rocks.

  • 3 Is it safe to arrive by plane?

    Yes, it is very safe. We have conducted hundreds of flights with experienced mountain pilots.

  • 4 How long does it take to walk or ride to the location?

    On average, it takes between 4 to 5 hours to cover the 15 km trail. The route is relatively flat and well-marked.

  • 5 Is there electricity?

    Yes, we have a mini hydroelectric plant and solar panels.

  • 6 What is the voltage of the electricity? Do I need adapters?

    The voltage is 220 volts, and the plugs are European type C (2 round pins). International adapters are needed for foreign visitors.

  • 7 Is there cell phone signal in Rincón Bonito?

    There is cell signal from Claro, but it is unstable.

  • 8 Is there internet in the guest house?

    Yes, the house has a Claro mobile Wi-Fi system that you can recharge for internet access during your stay.

    Yes, it was built with SIP panels and receives plenty of sunlight.

  • 10 What is the best time of year to visit?

    For outdoor activities, the Spring-Summer season is recommended. However, winter also has its charm.

  • 11 What is the summer weather like?

    December, January, February, and March are the hottest months, with daytime temperatures averaging around 23ºC. However, in Patagonia, all four seasons can occur in one day.

  • 12 Does it rain a lot?

    The climate is temperate and rainy, with rainfall throughout the year. Our guest house is a refuge for rainy days. With the right gear, excursions can be conducted without problems.

  • 13 Are there horseflies and deerflies?

    They can be found from December to January, with their numbers depending on the rain.

  • 14 Is it a good place for families with children?

    Yes, it has been a great experience for both children and parents who have visited Rincón Bonito.

  • 15 Where are the nearest medical services?

    There is a primary care post in Llanada Grande, a private clinic in Puerto Varas, and the regional hospital and several private clinics in Puerto Montt. Comprehensive travel insurance and/or accident insurance are recommended.

  • 16 How are reservations paid?

    By bank transfer or deposits, with copies sent to the agent handling your reservation.

  • 17 What languages are spoken at Rincón Bonito?

    Our staff speaks Spanish, and some also speak English. Guides who speak other languages can be requested when making a reservation, subject to availability.

  • 18 Can I drink the water at Rincón Bonito?

    The water is fresh, delicious, and completely safe to drink.

  • 19 What clothes should I bring?

    No special equipment is needed, except for fishing. We recommend bringing comfortable clothes and for excursions: good walking shoes (not new), rain-resistant windbreakers, and sun protection.

  • 20 Is there laundry service?

    No, but the house has an automatic washing machine that you can use.

  • 21 How long is the fishing season?

    The fishing season lasts about 8 months. In rivers, it starts on the second Friday of September and ends on the last Sunday of May.

    Each visitor must take back the waste they generate. We have a compost for organic material. We will teach you how to manage your waste so you can return it to your place of origin without major issues.
